Discover the Marbella Countryside

2 September 2015

Marbella’s main attraction might be sea bathing and sun, however we can also find interesting offers to enjoy the inland areas and discover other charming coastal areas beyond the beaches’ shores. Monte Natura offers the public –mainly foreigners - a chance to discover some of the hidden treasures of the Sierra de las Nieves, treasures which are often unknown to the town’s neighbors. Ecotours have achieved Tripadvisor’s first place in quality ratings in the outdoor activities within a city’s category. “Experience the Natural Andalucía” takes visitors to the Natural Park of Sierra las Nieves on 4X4s. The park has been declared “Biosphere Reserve”.  The activity starts at 10 AM, includes lunch, ends at 7 PM and costs 76 euros for adults and 57 for children up to 12 years old.
If you prefer, there are horseback riding tours at Los Caireles. Linked to nature and the landscapes of the interior areas of the province, they range from one hour for beginners to day-long tours for more experienced riders. “In general, routes are between one and three hours, though for those with less experience, the shortest routes are recommended” says Mercedes Sabater, guide and instructor. The route transfers you through the Camino de los Pescadores, and there is no fixed schedule. Booking is as simple as calling to let them know how many will be riding and their ages. For groups with little experience, there is a maximum of six riders and the price is 25 euros per person. Marbella Taxis can provide your private transport.
