Marbella, Estepona and Benhavis have best years ahead

6 November 2014

Ricardo Arranz, president of the Andalusian Federation of Developers and Residential Tourism told Efe News that the Costa del Sol destination has a huge weakness, which is the inability to communicate with clients, the inability to make a sale regarding their tourism promotion and to transfer confidence to buyers.

From several points of view, such as the business, public and service, the area has been unable to learn from competitors in order to make the Costa del Sol one of the best destinations in Europe and now the area must step forward to believe it can offer the very best.

In spite of it, Arranz predicted that the Golden Triangle formed by the towns of Marbella, Estepona and Behahavís will enjoy from now on their best ten years in regards to residential tourism and urban development through the strengths of this tourism destination, particularly its offer of golf.

Among these strengths, he stressed the road infrastructure, transport, such as Malaga airport, cultural, health, educational opportunities and the luxurious Puerto Banús area, as well as high-end car dealerships.

The president has called for developers to copy from destinations that currently do better than Costa del Sol and has urged the public administration to adapt laws and norms to provide legal security that investors demand.
